Terms & Conditions

Plain-English terms for using ApplyApostille. By placing an order you confirm you've read and agree to these terms.

1. What we do

ApplyApostille is a private document-processing service. We help individuals and businesses obtain apostilles on US-issued documents for use in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention.

We are not a government agency. You can also process documents directly with state offices — we exist to simplify and handle the process for you.

2. Your responsibilities

  • You confirm you are authorized to submit each document for processing.
  • You confirm the information and uploaded files are accurate and complete.
  • You are responsible for confirming with the receiving party that an apostille (rather than legalization) is what's required.
  • You are responsible for any required translations of the underlying document.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown per document on the home page and at checkout. Payment is taken in full at the time of order via our payment processor (Stripe). All fees are charged in US dollars.

4. Processing times

The processing speeds shown on the site are estimates. Government timelines, state holidays, courier delays, and document-quality issues are outside our control and are not guaranteed.

If we materially miss a stated timeline due to our own delay (not a state or courier delay), contact support and we'll work with you to make it right.

5. Refunds

  • Before processing starts: Full refund on request.
  • After we submit to the state: Service fees become non-refundable. State filing fees are retained by the state regardless of outcome.
  • Resubmissions: Documents that are incorrect, incomplete, or rejected may require resubmission and additional fees.

6. Document handling

Uploaded files are stored securely and accessible only to authorized ApplyApostille staff. Physical originals you mail to us are tracked, secured, and returned to you (or your designated address) by your selected delivery method.

We are not responsible for documents lost in transit by third-party carriers, but we'll assist with claims and provide all tracking information we hold.

7. Limitation of liability

Our maximum liability for any order is the total amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from delays, rejections, or document handling.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
